The fact that the Republican party as formed in the mid 19th century has become this is sad and pathetic, but it was in their DNA from the beginning outside of the abolitionist arm of the party.

That was the Supreme Court case about the house getting Trump's financial records from his accounting firm.

There are too many court cases going on. We need a cool naming scheme to keep them straight.

So this is incredibly dangerous because Trump's base really believes that he has some kind of divine appointment, and when he is inevitably removed from power (probably for medical reasons at this point) they are going to react incredibly violently.

They will perceive Trump's removal from power as The Enemy interfering with the will of the God-Force, to a degree that their minds will process as being apocalyptic, and they have been conditioned (for decades) to perceive such a traumatic* event as a trigger for what we now call stochastic terrorism.

*traumatic because they have been so conditioned by propaganda that Trump's removal from power will be experienced (psychologically) as a profane/direct attack on their individual identity of a severity difficult to appreciate for people who haven't spent time living in that mindset.

When The Enemy removes the God's Own chosen leader from power, the Trumpstaffel will no longer be able to envision a future for themselves- it will be an identity crisis being simultaneously experienced by tens of millions. They will work themselved themselves up into a blind rage and then lash out at any vulnerable group who happens to be within reach or in the news at the moment.

'Good republicans' need to have their noses rubbed in the revolting poo poo Trump and his compatriots are doing. Just because they didn't goose step to the polls doesn't mean they're off the hook for punching the same ballot box. Never forget that when talking to them.

Sorry this post took so long, I didn't expect so many responses!

I was raised to be a Republican but once I realized I didn’t owe them anything then I immediately ceased to be a Republican.

The funny thing is that my own personal core political beliefs haven’t really changed that much over the years. The Republican parties actual policies (Which bear no resemblance to what even they claim is conservative ideology) and actions just didn’t line up with what I believe and want.

You need to realize that labels and political organizations don’t deserve any loyalty. The second they cease to serve you they should be discarded.

Everything you’ve said indicates your not a Republican so just stop calling yourself one.

Yeah only by changing their minds can they be allowed back into the fold of polite society. Still, never let them forget what they did, and how loving stupid it was for them to do it.
