Or acting like because Taylor Swift has been litigious in the past means that she deserves this BS. Pretty sure she's never pushed for artists to not be able to perform their stuff on television because of legalities around whether or not it counts as a "recorded" version, but do let your hatred of Taylor Swift push you into sitting at the dickhead table.

I just can't get into her. I like "Backseat" and I think she's got a unique timbre in her voice to fit in well. I'm sure she's a lot more popular in Canada. Same with Rina, a lot of it sounds too similar all the way through. CRJ chasing for a second Call Me Maybe for a while seemed desperate. I know it's hearsay to even criticize CRJ, but I'm getting tired of Spotify's algorithm trying to push CRJ and Rina on me, but I get it since I listen to a lot of similar artists. I like some of it but none of it really create a lasting impression. The new Grimes album leaked way ahead of scheduled, fully mixed and mastered. I just can't see pop stars in large arenas/venues, they often just can't command a stage that large. Billie Eilish would be good in a medium venue or something but never going to happen. The only good larger venue show (and even that was smaller venue since she's not popular in the US as much but brought the whole production) was Kylie Minogue. Festivals too often suck, short setlists, rushed sound, etc. I saw MO before she blew up but she played a small venue and was great. I went to Dorian Electra/Charli XCX party show and it was great, whereas if I saw her opening for Taylor the day before it would have been a waste of money/time. I love Lana but her show was terrible too, I saw her on the UV era. She did a fine job but the crowd got into fist fights and it just felt like a giant cult of personality instead of stepping into an artist's world. At least she's having openers and local musicians on her current tour. Grimes's show doesn't seem too particularly interesting either, I skipped when she rolled through for Art Angels but at least played a decent-sized venue.
