Got Bloodstained the other day. Pretty fun, after playing Blasphemous it's just nice to have some movement and doublejumping back. I did get a weapon that kind of breaks the game, the Shield. It just like casually blocks attacks as you attack, you can just stand at the feet of this dragon boss and kill it without taking a hit. There was some blood lady who I died to a couple times until I tried using the shield and won without hassle. Then I beat this guy who was maybe the baby endboss and I didn't even see his attacks before he died. Then it gave me a Game Over, so I'm hoping there's some harder stuff or maybe I'll just use a worse weapon.

The actual brokenest Bloodstained weapon is the Flying Edge/Oracle Blade.

I just saw knives out which is a solid murder mystery but it’s even better as a concept because it’s distinctly advertised as the quaintest whitest Agatha Christie thriller then turns into a light hearted Get Out. I wish video games still made trashy murderer mysteries, I loved the old school Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie fmv Walmart garbage.

Can someone explain the opening video in Xenogears? I’ve seen it about a dozen times and I get computer virus but the whole “space time opening. It’s clear they’re going to attack” and then the cables bursting out of the ship confuse me. And the admiral’s daughter is Elle (?). I beat the game like 15 years ago and don’t recall if the ending cleared that stuff up
