True, but literally anyone else would just take that to mean "stop standing at attention". Also, they likely would've wondered why they were being talked to.

I'm not trying to argue that, in case anyone's wondering. I just thought his very, very quick 'ok, I'm going right back to ping pong now' moments were not overplayed.

Here's my Yojimbo story.

When I was in my first year of University, and because I am a pretentious arseface, I took a Cinema Studies class. One of the subjects was Japanese Cinema of the 60s. Anyway, the Uni library was better stocked with arthouse films than my local Video library, so one day I rented Yojimbo and took it home.

I was about to watch it when my 14yo brother came into the living room, (I still lived at home at the time), to see what I was watching. He initially turned his nose up at the film because 1)it was in black and white, 2)it was so old, and 3)it was in Japanese with subtitles. Why would anyone want to watch this? But for whatever reason he stuck around and watched it with me. And when it was finished, he looked at me and said "That was awesome.", and I heartily agreed.

Yeah, he draws with his sword-side hand and goes close/through the opponent's body quickly, instead of drawing across the body with the opposite hand and presenting fully before attacking.

There was just supposed to be a short, realistic spurt of blood at the point of contact, but the production designer really wanted it to be impressive, so he doubled the PSI when it was time to actually film the scene.

The extra pressure caused the nozzle to jam and then break off entirely, spraying out the entire blood reservoir. He thought he'd be fired for sure, but when he looked over to Kurosawa, he just nodded.

So not only did this invent the giant blood spray we all know and love, but that little quarter of a second pause before the nozzle broke was expanded upon by later directors, getting longer and longer until you had characters taking steps or saying lines before finally falling down dead, and then anime took that and ran with it to the point that the characters themselves didn't even know they were dead until they suddenly exploded into clouds of blood

When Marty goes back to 1885, he chooses to go by the name Clint Eastwood. He then steals a train and drives it into the ravine, which the townsfolk named Eastwood Ravine, assuming he had died there. It was named Clayton ravine, after the school mistress whose horse spooked and ran into it, but she was saved by Doc Brown at the start of BttF 3.
