Had an argument with a friend of a friend this weekend whose family recently found out they had extensive Jewish heritage (i.e. enough to qualify for Israeli citizenship, but not practicing or anything), re: Labour and antisemitism claims. The last loving thing to do, as well as being a sure-fire way to lose an argument and make yourself look like a massive arse, is to counter with "you're not even really Jewish". Don't do that. edit: to add to the pile of anecdata, their family is "life-long Labour" but are now campaigning/voting for LDs. In a safe Labour seat.

I have no actual facts to back this up, it's just what the gnawing pit of my stomach tells me.

Meanwhile Labour are successfully seeing off the Piss Tory threat to split the vote.

Career advice: Never mind degrees or GCSEs, your wealth is in knowing what to do with a piece of cardboard or flexible plastic. I locked myself out. After numerous phone calls to various numbers people in shops and estate agents gave me - internet etc all locked in flat so unable to look myself, finally found local guy who lives no more than 2 miles away. He turned up after an hour and it took him under 1 minute with a piece of flexible card or plastic to get in. £65. I was relieved though, the next nearest was 4 hours away and it is cold out there. Let this be a lesson to me to leave a spare key somewhere (I kept meaning to but hadn't got round to it).
