Newest Mandalorian is up and I honestly think I hated it. I love Amy Sedaris but she was completely wasted here in favor of some other obnoxious character in a big hollow pile of callbacks. I was honestly shocked to see this was written and directed by Dave.

Which bums me out because I had high hopes with it being a full-on Filoni joint. Still feels like Dave's trying to get a grasp on directing live-action, which is fine, but the episode definitely didn't feel as "cinematic" as the 4 prior episodes. 100% filler episode with lots of bad fanservice.

This is definitely my second biggest issue with the episode. Parts of it just looked so poorly shot that it felt more like something from a Rebel Assault FMV scene. The Tusken costumes looked like dogshit too. I know it’s kinda cool to utilize the various fan groups as extras but man some of those cosplays just do not hold a candle to actual film costumes.
