An amiibo would be appropriate, I guess, but I'm already committed to dropping a huge chunk of cash on her and I only wanted to get her something cheap to tide her over for Christmas. Oh well, I guess I'll just get her a no-name Barbie or something.

It's fine JRPG with great style, great Jpop, fun characters and an earnest, wholesome tone that means a whole lot in a post-2016 world. Also none of the horrible gay or trans bashing from the main Persona series.

No, wait! There is an AC Sticker Book that is p. much what you're asking for. It's loaded with stickers of basically all the neighbors, plus stickers of some furniture and a lot of the fish and bugs for some reason. The non-sticker focused portions of the book feature the usual good activity book stuff that young kids like, connect the dots, mazes and what have you.

It's been a while since I played the Wii-U version, but I remember the combat being pretty fun and challenging on hard. Normal would probably have been more of a standard "mash attack to win" style jrpg, but on hard I had to actually think about what I wanted each character to do, struggle to keep up with healing and buffs, etc. It wasn't anything revolutionary for jrpgs, but it was balanced well and I didn't break the difficulty curve by doing all the sidequests.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions has a good story and characters, a vibrant and unique visual style, great music, and a battle system that while not the best Atlus has come up with is still fun and engaging. Ah, poo poo: I got my niece and nephew switch lites, and then a wired controller if they wanted to do co-op. I could have gotten a wireless, but figured that they would appreciate not having a third thing to keep charged. However, I just remembered that the wired controller is probably a micro USB and not a USB C. Can I get them a micro-to-C adapter and have it work out? Is there one that isn't junk?

Edit: or I can justget a cable that's USB C on both ends? Should work, right?

So my kids caught me playing stardew valley on my laptop and have gotten obsessed with it, I think it's about time to get them a switch. Lately on steam all I've been playing are indies and I've been wanting to play some zelda and mario myself so I'm going to get one too. What's the best way to handle sharing games between multiple systems? I'd prefer to do it all digital like I do on steam but from some reading I've done nintendo doesn't have a great setup for this but maybe I'm wrong. What I'd ideally like to do is buy a game once and be able to play it on any switch in the house easily.

Beyond that I was thinking about just getting 3 of the switch lites, any downside to these besides not being able to dock and play on a TV? I don't really care about that. Also is the only way to play some of the classic nintendo games like a link to the past the online subscription? It's not an option to just buy the game individually? Last thing is has nintendo said anything about purchases being backwards compatible on future consoles? Steam has really spoiled me on that and it looks like XBox and Playstation are really embracing it. I would think it would be a no brainer for nintendo to do the same but they're always trying something crazy with new consoles so who knows.

The controller will be micro on itself and regular USB on the end that's meant for the dock, so get one of these:

Works with literally every Switch accessory I've tried it with, so you could even plug in a network adapter for handheld play online, or a GameCube controller adapter for Smash Bros

Unless they’ve changed something since the lite was released, both Mario odyssey and BOTW have parts that rely on motion controls that are relatively difficult to perform in handheld mode (because you’re twisting or shaking the screen you’re trying to play on). So if you go for lites then you’ll probably want to be aware of that.
