Holy poo poo Gris blew me away. The art and design are stunning. I stopped and stared every few minutes, the game is absolutely gorgeous. And the gameplay is genuinely fun and surprising throughout. The attention to detail, both in the backgrounds and art, and in the way the game encourages and rewards exploration, really stands out.

I didn't expect to find a new entry in my "greatest games of all time" list tonight, but here we are. Wow. That one's going to stay with me.

If you have any appreciation for art, music, or platforming gameplay, this is a must buy.

I'll never tire of using the Animal Crossing items to make crack houses, torture chambers, pro wrestling arenas, etc.

On an unrelated note, instead of TMS if anyone wants to play an RPG on the switch they should play Shining Resonance Refrain.

No, but "you are an idiot therefore your argument sucks" is.

"You're talking about something that you didn't read, which makes you look like a dumbass" is also an insult, but not ad hominem.

For an example of something better to do, the first Star Ocean is on Switch now. It's an HD version of the PSP remake which uses the engine and mechanics from Star Ocean 2, and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Also despite it being a Square-Enix published HD version of one of their old games they didn't ruin the font. It's a miracle.

- The performance is not as bad as I heard (I know it was patched, it's not too bad at all imo)
- Huh good music. Style Sounds very familiar

- hmm these weapon attack animations look similar
- Oh these soul things are literally the ones from Aria of Sorrow/ Dawn of Sorrow cool

I liked the TMS discussion, vitriol aside. A lot of people were treating it like a must get and now it certainly doesn't seem like that.

I am curious though, what generation of FE characters does it have? GBA and GC I may still be in but if it's 3DS forget it.

See I just got to Blue and it's fine. Maybe because I play handheld or with a projector the images aren't anything special. The rest of the game is fine but it doesn't amaze me.

I don't think it's open to exploration however. Unless something happens, you move too slowly, to get anywhere fast enough and it tries my patience.

I have to remind myself to play it, instead of going through my Retro game backlog, which is telling of my interest in it. Probably worth the ten euro I paid though I'm not quite sure yet.

Yeah, as bad as that discussion went, someone chiming in with the opposite opinion to the consensus can be valuable feedback on whether you'd like something or not. (Assuming they don't get dogpiled just for going against the norm, which happens a ton.)
