I've taken to emulating this on my desktop w/ BlueStacks and then using the steam link app to control it from my phone instead of having it melt my battery to slag. I wouldn't do combat like this but it's responsive enough for semi-afk stuff even when I'm out and about.

Added my name to the list of in-game goons. Man, I can't wait for corps because doing it this way is kind of obnoxious.

Just got into an extended slugfest between myself and my 3 alts versus a bunch of chinese on the d7-zac undock, they had like 10 guys in fleet in cruisers and destroyers and it was up to me to continue to deny them exit from their prison. At the start of the fight i immediately had a client DC and then die, just like the last time. I started focus firing on the cruisers since they had the most value and had the capabilities to hit me, even though I now lacked the ability to onevolley them. If I hadn't had a client DC I would have killed far more cruisers, but they were able to warp off after taking critical damage multiple times. As I cleared the cruisers off field, a bunch of destroyers were getting close to me, so I had to swap targets. I continued to engage caracals and other cruisers, and got multiple kills, however the Caracal has the same range bonus I do to the same weapon platform, so they were able to hit me and critically damage me each time I got a kill. Luckily, they never picked the same target twice and all of my three remaining Cormorant Navy Issues survived. All in all- in the fight I destroyed 6 cruisers, 13 destroyers, 3 frigates, and all the associated wrecks (since I didn't want to get close to the undock point of the station). Also, leading up to the fight I had also been camping the station undock and had killed many rookie ships, ventures, and a few destroyers (along with their pods.) This game is fun.

Sounds rad. Hopefully I'll have enough isk and SP to try some stuff this week. Edit: Stealing PI goods may not be very profitable, but it is definitely funny as gently caress. Getting targeted by an angry Chinese ibis makes me laugh. Also saw what looked like a warp bubble on the Jita undock, but it didn't have any effect that I could see. What's the best isk/effort activity right now besides PI? Its about time I did something with this game. Carth Dookie fucked around with this message at 04:55 on Dec 9, 2019 |

If you're looking to stay in highsec then hitting up .5 space and running blood raiders anoms in a corax focusing on bases/larges/inquisitions will probably net you a few million an hour, inquisitions drop BPCs as well which are sometimes worth a couple of mill a pop. Obviously keeping your PI plates spinning is good too.

just suicide ganked my first Venture II with a single trainer algos, you are still GCC locked for 15 minutes but even worse- you're not able to move your pod at all and GCC timers across the board are reduced by roughly 6 seconds since CONCORD/DED kills you the second they land instead of waiting roughly 6 seconds good news is a suicidegank algos does ~150 DPS and is only 2.5-3 mil and all the modules are sourced by NPCs bad news is it's REALLY HARD to get those drones to track moving targets and the DPS is much lower than eve

They're so optimistic and full of a sense of adventure! Once this game launches, we're going to be able to witness so many hearts get broken once they realize how much people like murdering each other in eve. I smell a shitnado a comin' Randy.

I played this for an hour or two last night and it's eve alright. I wonder how possible solo, single client roaming is gonna be in this during the early months. I liked doing that in eveo a lot and kinda quit when at some point everyone and their dog had a falcon alt running. I haven't really played mobile games since I've had a phone made in this decade for like a week now, but it seems good.

alts and gangs are going to be for multiboxing PC players which is inevitable, but not as likely as in EVE classic IMO. I know if blackops becomes a thing I'll be dual boxing for cyno/dropping.

Most solo PVP is showing up in a random system and hopping belts / combat sites and loving anyone you find. It's very feasible and happens a lot.

So far this is the most fun I've had in a game in a long time. I mean it's far from perfect but most of the failings at this point are expected to be addressed in the near(ish) future, the main ones being the lack of standings/corporations which is starting to get a little painful with 58 goons and all their toons* and the general pita of having to add every name manually on every character. There isn't any way to directly move ISK/gear between characters as well as some of the advanced modules not being in the game yet and a number of features and mechanics that are still apparently in development. That said if they had just released this and said that updates would come as they were completed it would still be a better than pretty much every mobile game I've ever played, the only real question in my mind is how they decide to monetize, hopefully they'll go with some sort of subscription service or something other than p2w. If they can come up with a good or at least non-awful monetization model I think that this game has a lot of promise. As it stands them having a large scale beta before full launch demonstrates that they are taking this seriously. I mean a lot can happen but I like what I've seen so far and it's going to be a lot of fun when it actually launches and we'll have our doctrines, skill plans and strategy in place on how to build up our gay space communist empire into the villains that the game needs to be a vibrant living universe. So highly recommend joining us in this new conquest where you can terrorize pubbies while sitting on the toilet, does it get better than that? * I know it's pubbie talk but I couldn't resist the rhyme

Chance of moderation being better than CCP: nil. Edit: Did a few missions for the first time ever. Not something I'd want to sit at my computer and do for hours, but mildly diverting to do a few on a lunch break. It's nice to be actually shooting things again, even if it's only red crosses. Also how the heck do you find out your weapon range once fit? I haven't found how short of manually applying my skills to the weapon. Gonna try me some less complicated EVE. Anyone know if the trained skill benefits that aren't explicitly labelled as being for a particular shiptype will work on other ships? Example: Expert Frigate Command V has two skill effects specifically labelled as frigate bonuses, then a third just as "Warp activation cost -20%". Will that bonus carry over to cruisers? Will it stack (presumably multiplicatively, not additively) with the same bonus from Expert Cruiser Command V? If so, it looks like you could also stack % powergrid reduction for turrets and duration of damage boosting modules (heat sink, gyrostabilizer, etc) this way.

The best part about potential monetisation revenue is that it'll mostly be used by rubes to fit blinged out Machariels which they'll promptly lose to two guys flying shitfit thrashers in an anomaly in Tenal.

I wish this was out of beta and that it didn't melt my phone. On the emulation side, I found more success with MEmu than Bluestacks. Otherwise it looks pretty much like a mobile EVE and the interface is decent. I think targeting specific ships would be a nightmare if the grid gets busy since they can only fit so many rows on a small screen, but I do appreciate that "easy lock" feature for ratting and mission running.

Hopefully the melting phones thing is because it's still a beta and they haven't optimized the code, I did find that turning the resolution and settings down helped a lot with cooling things down and keeping my battery from draining instantly. Side benefit the text is a little bigger which is useful for a geezer like me. Skex fucked around with this message at 20:34 on Dec 10, 2019 |

They finally fixed the market and now I can actually sell stuff. Also, I can remove allies and fleet members from the overview. Seems to have a decent weekly update cycle. I don’t have time for actual EVE anymore. So I’m happy to see the mobile version.

The problem is more that if someone else happens to be selling trit for 4isk you'll buy it first rather than transferring it to the character that you are wanting to move it too. Which is why I said something that's not for sale in your station at least if I'm understanding the mechanic correctly. Skex fucked around with this message at 01:24 on Dec 14, 2019 |
