Jimmy Carter posted:I have a p deece soldering iron from last years secret Santa and lets say $400 because that’s a number actually $400 comedy option: https://xikii.com/products/xikii-1800mini-bluetooth-usb-type-c-dual-mode-keyboard crappy amazon $40 option: https://www.amazon.com/MOTOSPEED-Wireless-Bluetooth-Mechanical-Smartphone/dp/B07HFRRHCL If there's a particular 40% keyboard you like the look of, another option is plugging a regular keyboard into an adapter with a battery that makes it bluetooth - the one I've seen people use is http://handheldsci.com/kb/ . Bluetooth is still comparatively rare in mech keyboards and I'm more aware of the options in the diy / handwire space. A lot of the small bluetooth keyboards people post are custom handwired ones. There are a couple of options for microcontrollers: the Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2829) and the BlueMicro (http://store.jpconstantineau.com/#/group/bluemicro). I only know of one pcb that's actually designed with the Adafruit Feather in mind but it might be decent: https://mkultra.click/collections/group-buys/products/group-buy-pancake-keyboard-kit Note that one doesn't come with a case but looks usable without. The Kailh Choc switches are available in several other flavours from Novelkeys (https://novelkeys.xyz) if the selection on mkultra isn't enough, and are low-profile so good for travelling with. The BlueMicro on the other hand should be compatible with any of the many keyboard pcbs that take a regular Pro Micro, but as far as I know it's still under development and not considered 'final'. The 32u4 should be compatible with the open source QMK firmware whereas the BlueMicro has its own (https://github.com/jpconstantineau/BlueMicro_BLE) and I haven't tried any of that stack so can't comment on it. Edit: I just found this issue https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/issues/5439 so using qmk on a bluefruit might require rolling back to and old version or something.
