As I understand it, being a Chinese company they had a total ban on it. They've been rolling out 'local moderation' which is just an excuse to moderate with the guidelines that they think will be best recieved in the various countries. So of course they also used that to block content overly conservatively, and chucking out LGBT content in countries where it's perfectly legal. The moment they feel that being anti-lgbt in a country would be more positive to their appearance they'll happily slam on the brakes. It's yet another lovely, regressive platform that just barely toes the line, and will happily purge any lgbt content if they thought they could get away with it without an uproar.
