Yeah, I got Hades for £5 on Epic by using the £10 gift voucher they're giving out in their Christmas sale.

Hades is extremely good, and doesn't feel early access at all. It's polished as gently caress.

so yeah, 3.8 was pushed to live despite being broken as gently caress, with tons of literally gamebreaking issues (servers will often just shut themselves down with code 30000 disconnecting everyone) but hey, gotta sell that Mole, lads.

i hope SQ42 has none of those bugs when it releases in 2018

Here's something we can discuss that I could post in the proper thread, but I like and trust the people who frequent this one. Here goes:

I have a system build with an Intel I7-9700, and a Geforce 2700 Super. The CPU is cooled by an AIO cooler. The front of the case has 3 intake fans. The rear has 3 going out. Two at the top back, and one out the back, which is the one that flows over the AIO cooler radiator. It is a slightly positive pressure case due to the exhaust fans being behind holed screens, whereas the front fans are fully open.

CPU temps are 30 degrees idle. With a maxxed-out Prime95 stress test, it hits 66 degrees. So far so good.

The problem comes in when I stress the video card and CPU simultaneously. When the GPU gets hot enough for the fans to kick in, the hot air is forced up, and winds up primarily vented through the first fan it passes, which is the AIO radiator. Once I'm in that boat, the CPU heats up quite a bit, sometimes surpassing 80 degrees. It cools back down when the GPU fans spin down.

Ordinarily I'd have a side fan blowing into the case above the GPU to mitigate, but this is a glass case and I'd rather not drill holes into the glass.

Discuss.

Your problem is you need a chassis that holds at least 30 fans. I'm sure there is someone who is also into tentacle porn that can help with the design.

If you look at the daily totals recorded by the pledge tracker, there was a very clear and sudden change in behavior at the end of 2018, right around the announcement of the Calder investment and the release of the financials. The typical daily total on a "quiet" day tended to be higher, meaning a smaller proportion of income came from the big sales events which I had generally assumed to be when the majority of whale-fracking occurred. I don't know if I believe the tracker, and I certainly haven't been able to come up with a reasonable hypothesis to explain the change. But given that we are considering what appears to be an anomalously high pledge total in 2019, I thought it was worth bringing up again.

So you believe that maybe Calders money has been "supplementing" their shortfalls in Citizen donations which in turn could lead to an even quicker crisis of short funds?

I don't think there's any really high end products designed to have that many fans. It's all AIOs and water cooling and RGB. SO MUCH RGB. That dude, whose name I've already forgotten, is just a completely unique breed of utter loving moron.

It’s sounds like the only thing you could do is go to water cooling or get a GPU with a blower design that expels hot air directly out of the case.

One big fan in the front of the case, one big fan in the side, one in the top, one in the back, a cpu cooler with a fan and a gpu with 2 fans. Thats all I have in mine, and I dont have AC at home (no point, British climate).

Unless you wanna do heavy overclocking or live near the corona of a sun, I consider the above overkill.

Oh, thought this was Linus tech tips thread, sry :D

Done.

There literally is nothing that is „new“ or „technical innovation“.
Hilariously, CIG still fails to get basic gameplay, engine, AI, grid and procdural aspects (that we find in games of the last decade) smoothly working 😂😂
But hey, it’s just year 8 and 300+ Million sunk.

Judge Dredd is just as valid an interpretation of the character and setting as Dredd.

Depends. Say Chris appears on video one day, visibly broken, blood oozing from his nose and he begins thrashing, screaming that release 1.0 is nigh. And then, it is, except nothing changes. He twitches a little before slumping over, then the lights go dark. Has Star Citizen released?

Just a friendly reminder that the original promised content of 3.0, which was slated for the end 2016, is now 3 years late. It was supposed to be the Jesus patch that would be the initial foundation of the game. It was supposed to include among other things a fully finished Stanton system and all of the major professions and the basics of their associated gameplay.

The project is doing great and the holy progress continues to flow from the fount of our lord Chris Roberts as he saves PC gaming.
