Is there any heat between STARDOM and Hazuki that we know of? I'm asking because while this tweet could just be Hazuki working everyone, it feels kinda weird. https://twitter.com/0929_hazuki/status/1208003574006833152?s=20 Apparently she's accusing STARDOM of mishandling her until the very end.

I don't know how much of that is the recent changes to Stardom rather than a historical thing: the issues seem to be relatively new. Wouldn't be surprised if she shows up elsewhere after 24/12; I normally wouldn't think that about Joshi retirements but this one is really weird and suggests that its not her making a conscious decision to retire from wrestling because she's done all she can - most retirements are good natured while this one clearly isn't. She was photographed with Yoshiko yesterday as well and while that means nothing by itself (they claimed it was a "chance encounter" and its known that after Yoshiko left she remained close with a lot of the people who were at Stardom at the time which included Hazuki) but its just another interesting thing.

https://twitter.com/tjpw2013/status/1208932150285762560 Natsumi Maki returns from injury to face Sareee at TJPW's Korakuen show. This is not a match I was expecting but I am now incredibly hype for it. Haven't seen a whole lot of Sareee but what I have seen was really good.

Sareee is my 2019 Wrestler of the Year; she's incredibly good. This is a very non-TJPW move which makes me think that they gave Natsupoi free reign to book her return match and since Sareee seems to be doing this "I'M LEAVING JAPAN" tour it makes sense as a match.

Leaning toward work simply because I want a Hazuki-gun with worked shoots telling it like it is. Or she was caught drinking with boys.

It makes no sense for it to be a work: in promotions that book sensibly (which Stardom do) you do work things like that to get a positive outcome and I don't see what the final destination of your work would be - the promotion would be the heel in that situation which isn't what you want (look at WWE to see how fans react to the authority figure and the promotion being portrayed as a heel for so long); and the outcome is... creating a backlash when someone who people genuinely believe retired comes back to lead a group, and perhaps permanently reducing the credibility of your retirements to the point where people might not invest in them to anything like the same level because "well Hazuki came back!". So basically a lot of downsides with the upside being... something you could have achieved by doing the Hazuki/Kagetsu split that they were clearly building to earlier this year? Stardom don't do the old Joshi rules; Oedo Tai once turned up to a Stardom press conference drunk (I imagine with approval) in order to get attention and exposure: all of the wrestlers continually post pictures with them drinking and having all sorts of fun and while I don't think any of them are publicly in a relationship I'm pretty sure there are a few people with others. Here is what WH Park (from POST Wrestling) is saying about it - there is a more specific reason flying around but its at the level where I'm really not comfortable saying it unless I'm 100% sure that its true. https://twitter.com/whpark9/status/1209434048558333953?s=20 I wasn't entirely sure how substantiated this was but now I'm pretty sure: it'd make sense as to why she was so annoyed with Stardom since its really very unfair towards her. It is a rumour though; and one which might end up being wrong but there's clearly been some form of falling out there and her retiring right after the Bushiroad acquisition was always slightly suspicious although I tend to trust retirements so I shrugged it off as a coincidence initially.

I really hope she doesn't retire, and also doubly hope AEW has their eyes on the whole situation. She's so fuckin' cool and good and could have a lot of years left in the business if that's what she wanted. But, if she wants to retire then more power to her. It just stinks that it feels like she's being forced out and retiring out of frustration than coming to a natural point of wanting to retire.

I don't think anyone other than Hazuki really knows to be honest - she did the retirement ceremony but that might have been a contractural thing; and its not like we've not had people unretire very quickly before. If I had to guess I don't think she's done: unless this deal has soured her on the wrestling business as a whole I think she finds somewhere else to wrestle; its not like there's a shortage of possible options for her to work in Japan as a freelancer in the short term at least; you'd have to think her talent makes her a possible target for the big two US promotions as well. There may be barriers as to possible options in Japan - a separate rumour I've heard is that initially she went to Sendai Girls and they rejected her for the same reasons as Bushiroad used to push her out, Stardom not minding until the acquisition - but like a lot of those barriers disappear if you have the support and backing of a big name and can make the promotion money since it is a business. Like I wouldn't see a SEAdLINNNG saying no if she let it known that she was available and willing to work: they rehabilitated someone with a... checkered past already, Hazuki was one of the last wrestlers that came through the Stardom system pre-incident and she was close with Yoshiko at that time and SEAd sort of need names to cover Nanae Takahashi being out with that ankle surgery. Plus frankly it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the older Joshi wrestlers sympathise with the forced retirement thing: its something that a lot of very talented people went through and lots came back and said that if they had a choice they never would have retired.

So a bit more regarding the Hazuki situation. https://twitter.com/extremeparty/status/1209613646654894080 Quote was taken from this article: http://battle-news.com/?p=55141 Basically if I'm understanding that quote correctly, STARDOM told her to shut up and not talk about it, because it would make the company look bad. That while she was doing the right thing, it wasn't going to be helpful to the company if she blabbed about it.
