Maybe, just maybe, you should read the room a bit before posting that sort of thing.

I know there are furries that say they aren’t into sexualisant the anthropomorphic animals, they’re just fans. That makes less sense to me than wanting to gently caress Disney’s Robin Hood. Weird fetishes I get but I don’t get just sort of... liking Mickey Mouse and college sports mascots and Spyro just cuz.

People enjoying things is pretty neat. I don't even get angry at people that like fortnite etc. 2 years ago I'd probably be like, "that game sucks and you should feel bad!" but now it's more like "hell yeah, if you're having fun I don't see the harm  " and it's just nice that someone is smiling at some point because we all live in a hellworldHell yeah, you enjoy the wrestling! I don't know anything about it, complete blindspot, but my lack of experience shouldn't invalidate your enjoyment, y'know?

I'm an artist, and furries have been great to me, but holy moley. Just recently, I asked for a ref from a client, and she posted multi-titted, multi-dicked fetish art to me, only asking if I was ok with nsfw AFTER she sent it. poo poo had AT LEAST three dicks, one of them being a tongue, and so many goddamned boobies. Just a row of em. She was lucky I'm a goon that's not phased by sex-weird, because holy poo poo, what the gently caress, that's your reference? It wasn't even a sexy commission, it was a cutesy little thing wearing a cute little outfit. I don't even draw porn, it's my partner that does that! However, I will say, I've watched them get more aware over the years, and less obnoxious, and they are generally a very kind group of people, aside from a few outliers. Once my pronouns are established with them, they honor them, and immediately correct on their own, should they forget. My identity is never a problem, nor is my queerness, and I have had them commission me just because they wanted me to have a good meal, and they knew I wouldn't just take their money for nothing. I recently had someone tip $15 on a piece I was charging $30 for. Just a little cartoon thing. Then he got all his friends to commission me, and THEY TIPPED TOO. Anime dudes never tip. Game dudes never tip. In fact, those guys try to steal merch, you have to either tie everything down, or watch your booth constantly. Furries tip, and when I found one stealing (once, btw, I've been dealing with these people for about ten years now) he was publically shamed for taking from artists. Regardless of how others may feel, this demographic has treated me very well, even as a relative outsider. As an artist, I'm treated incredibly well by the majority, which is nice, given how artists are treated elsewhere.
