It feels quite common, especially since full or partial laser removal can be pitched to make doing coverups easier so the shop gets to double dip on the customer (triple dip if they put the lovely tattoo on in the first place).

Yeah, a laser removal service was in Off The Map before they closed. They were big enough to do it, but I think all the shops that splintered out from that shop closing aren't big enough to have their own in-house laser removal. But I see it advertised as well from other larger shops I follow on Instagram.

The place I go to typically has one person who does lasering, even though the place also does coverups and blackouts as well. From what I can tell, some clients will do laser up to the point of being able to cover up easier, though I went for a straight coverup and it turned out amazing. It all depends on preference and frankly it’s smart that it’s all in one location.
