I, for example, just realized that I'm on an Excalibur mission that requires me to "stun 2 enemies with one shot" for the secondary, which of course requires artillery, but only of the "Coalition" tanks, which include: France, Sweden, Czech, Poland, and of course only France has arty, and it has the worst arty for doing AoE objectives....

One of the things about the game these days is that you can't shoot cupolas or otherwise be accurate and know weak spots well to gain a solid advantage anymore. In the past being knowledgeable about the various weak points and shooting cupolas when people were peaking over hills and crests was always advantageous but it seems like the real answer now is just shoot gold any time you have a questionable shot angle and can't shoot lower glacias or side. I played for two or three days but then all the game's faults just came rushing back at me again and I haven't logged back in aside from getting santa. It did blow me away at how easy the grind for new tanks is now, but I guess that just forces you to want to get the boosters because silver is still the limiting factor stopping you from advancing down the trees.

I tried out the tier 9 430-2, which is now a ~snyper~, and effectively just a big 416. It's far more sluggish than I'd expected; I don't know how it used to perform, but it's not really usable as a medium tank, and has a hard time getting into positions to snipe. Also, the gun is bloopy as gently caress and only pens when it feels like despite having >240 pen. I started playing the BC 155 58 to do some arty missions, and it's pretty fun; I haven't played arty in awhile after eliting them all, but this one feels comfortable. It does seem like the most vulnerable SPG though to CB, because that 10 seconds between shots almost forces you to stay put instead of relocating, otherwise you have to re-aim and further gimp your DPM. Also, now my barracks is full because of all those tier 9s I elited & sold but haven't bought the 10s yet. I've found that credits are not the issue, unless perhaps you're blowing a ton on premium consumables and ammo, and buying every tank (and especially equipment) at full price instead of waiting for a sale. As mentioned recently, I'm at the point where I'm grinding all tier 9s (literally all of them,) and I have enough credits to buy all the remaining tier 9 & 10s that I need, except I'm just going to wait for a sale on them (with the "full barracks" caveat as above.)

This is because of several factors though. 1) The stg packs a 122mm gun compared to the 100mm gun all the way up the line. 2) 122mm usually has horrible accuracy per russian standards. However, the 122mm on the stg has a .3 accuracy. That is german levels. The stg is a sniper with a big boom on it. 3) The stg can also fully rotate its turret. The tank literally has all the features of the tree snipe tanks except better because of the 122mm alpha and the fully rotate-able turret. But yeah, I didn't like the new 430-2 at all. I could make it work enough to finish it, but the k-91 is the last tank in the list of t10s I need to buy.

Word of advice, face fighting in the 703 II is a really bad idea. The armor right between the gun barrels is thin as heck, so if you get face to face with one you can just repeatedly blast them right between the eyes.

I finished researching the entire USA tech line. Nearly a decade ago I had a goal of owning every tank, I think I'll settle for owning every US tank. Assuming the game continues to exist by the time I get around to it.
