Many of the jokes on multiple podcasts hinge upon knowledge of people outside the podcasts themselves, which thankfully is usually explained on the podcast itself. Twitter users who don't listen to any of these see it as bizarre that anyone would care. I don't really understand that considering it's nationally reported news when a twitch streamer gets married, or divorced. This is what happens when many television and film celebrities lose cultural cachet due to the fractured nature of mediums and fandoms these days
