We have shared seating in my office (which is why I’m rarely in the office) and now that no one owns their space the place has become a haven for half-drunk coffee mugs, old food boxes, crumbs and dust. It’s loving disgusting. But then again, I have a bottle of windex and a rag in my car in case my windshield is streaky and I dust my home office obsessively so my standards might be higher than others.

loving InfoPath. The previous admin used different methods for calculating reimbursements, notifications, etc. every time I have to update a form I have to figure out what method they used that day because using a standard format is way too simple. I can’t wait to migrate away from that and K2. Then there’s me overwriting the 2019 version with the 2020 copy (which I get to go revert to) because I chose Quick Publish on accident

Copy and pasting our most recent company wide dishwasher email. *** Hi All, 2 of the dishwashers in the kitchen are out of order. This is as a direct result of dishes not being correctly stacked and therefore glasses breaking and causing the filter to fill with broken glass. Whilst we only have one operational dishwasher, please hand wash your dishes if the dishwasher is full. It is NOT the cleaners’ responsibility to clean up after you. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY DIRTY DISHES ON THE BENCH. Also, please keep in mind how you are stacking the dishwasher. Overloading it when it is already full and throwing cutlery straight in the bottom of the dishwasher is not acceptable. Thanks

Our solution was no dish washers at all, just a bottle of dawn next to the sink. You bring your own mug to work and keep it clean with your own power.

Lord Dudeguy posted:Airwatch with Boxer, Content, Web and Tunnel apps? It was more of a throwaway comment than a serious post - we've been through a load of options with the people concerned and the problem is that they want unrestricted access to everything from their random family PC, in the native apps, without any additional steps needing to be taken to get there, and don't want to have things like passwords enforced on the devices through MDM - but they still want the data to be secure. Basically they want to manage the devices, but they also don't want to manage the devices.

I've seen places where the staff are forbidden from loading the dishwashers and it is the sole responsibility of the cleaners. On the one hand, you think it is nice that that staff don't have to perform menial tasks and have someone to do it for them. On the other, you wonder just how stupid the staff must be if they aren't capable of loading a dishwasher correctly.

I always wondered why dishwashers don't have a mesh in the bottom to stop people chucking in knifes etc. and getting it caught on the exposed blades.

Also ALWAYS a hot wash.

Blade down knives are fine, if the cutlery thing is so brittle that it's getting broken by knives going in point down then the plastics have degraded and it needs replacing. Though what you actually want is a Siemens dishwasher with a cutlery tray rather than a basket.

My biggest issue with those is that nobody wants to take the time to put in things individually like that, if I can't dump my spoons and forks into something in one go, I don't want it.
