Still collating thoughts on this but I suspect it’s Benghazi 2. The US has a lot of embassies everywhere and they are vulnerable. Last time the leadership of one of the countries they were loving around with decided to murder a few Americans to show its displeasure, a US embassy was overrun and the inhabitants including fellow goon Vilerat were killed. The Iranian security services clearly decided that this was a good strategy for loving with America, but failed to account for the fact that American leadership right now is (a) hyper aggressive (b) looking for a win so they can seem tough; and (c) blithely unconcerned with consequences.
