What’s the rule on recovering/returning a blocked FG vs letting it go dead?

If you let it go dead you get the ball from where it was kicked

If you pick it up and return it, you might get tackled for a loss but you get it where you're tackled

If you're Leon Lett, you slide into the ball and then give it right back to the Dolphins and lose the game

yes.

I think eastern michigan was the first to use the actual stadium lights for effects, and now it's spreading.

I think letting it go dead leaves the ball marked 7 yards behind the original LOS.

If the ball is blocked near the LOS, can the kicking team ever recover and try to advance it?

The kicking team can't do poo poo unless the other team touches it first (not counting the block)

I love that Leon Lett was a good player for like 12 years and the only thing anyone remembers about him are the two dumbest things he ever did on a football field.

It'd be nice if we could opt for a camera angle that showed the field instead of just the lines. It's an insane way to watch football when you can't see the wide receivers and you're just looking at the QB wondering what he's looking at.

I always thought it was weird that now we have high definition TV but sports are still shot the same way as they were when we had standard definition. I want to see more of the field.
