I buy a lot of music on bandcamp but a lot of rappers haven't been using that platform yet.

Spotify should allow a tip jar to help with the complaints against them about royalties

It's me, with 144gb of mp3s :saddowns: I buy everything I can though, only torrent things I can't buy for stupid DRM or availability or licensing or whatever reasons.

I will buy an album to support an artist but I don’t even download it if it’s available on Spotify. I just wanna support the artist more than them getting $0.00000002 for my streams.

I have actual skeletons in my closet
I'll buy music because I have a lot of stuff that you can't find any more and it still seems like the only way to get certain mixes before streaming sites drops the music for whatever business reason or people pulling a ye and change it.

And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

I love them but would like if there were some surprise sounds on this, a fourth album where you could take songs from any one of them and they wouldn't sound out of place next to one another is probably what we'll get though,

First one was pretty groundbreaking and the others are more or less approximately of equal quality.

But the projects would be better if it was just mike rapping.

I really like El and Mike together, they play off each other very well. Mike’s bars are always so effortless whereas El clearly puts a lot of thought into them, and I think the contrast makes the tracks more entertaining.

i agree with the completely uncontroversial sentiment that mike is a better rapper, but a great album, or an effective collaboration don't need similar levels of technical brilliance as much as an excellent synergy. i think mike an el have that, though the shine has worn off some. i'm sure i'll find something to like in rtj4.

Yeah I agree. And RTJ2 is better than RAP Music, fight me or whatever.

Every album has had bangers and their lyrics have definitely gotten sharper.

I have high hopes for this album because they took their time on it. RTJ3 was great but also had a sense of diminishing returns.

Also when you see them live and Mike says "Me and El-P do the secret handshake" and they do it on the stage while rapping, it is both corny and good. Just like walking out to We Are The Champions

My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.
I saw them supporting RTJ2 and it ruled from the moment Despot made everyone do aerobics during his opening set.

Saw Bone Thugs-N-Harmony the other night and it was pretty awesome. They hit a lot of the classics and even did some tributes to Biggie, Eazy-E, and Tupac.
