All I ever really wanted out of a Star Wars game was Silent Hunter 5, but a Star Destroyer.

Game doesn't need fast travel, it just needs 1-2 more landing points per planet like Metroid Prime Corruption. Also better cosmetics so there's an actual reason to explore/backtrack.

This is officially the worst game ever seeing Cal openly, incorrectly pronounces AT-AT "@@". terrible. Also, I better be about to become a lot more powerful oh Dathomir is much easier when I go back

It's how it has been almost universally every time it is said in the history of the thing. Someone even asked Lucasfilms about it over a decade ago and they pretty bluntly said "it is pronounced so it rhymes with hat-hat"

Pronouncing an acronym phonetically without changing it into another word (for example, Jeep) is dumb as gently caress. Do you actually say 'lol' out lout as "lawl"?

I wish this game had Arkham style quick play combat challenges where you can just jump into a fight with a bunch of imperials and then turn up the difficulty and it throws an at-st in with them

The only thing I remember from Jedi Knight 2 is force pulling to disarm everyone and the AI didn't know what to do so I had a group of 10 Stormtroopers running around randomly every level. So if they could implement this in fallen order 2 that would be greatcodo27 posted:So what the gently caress is AT-ST then? At-stuh? Fuckin bull ding It's pronounced chicken walker, duh

Vinylshadow posted:Give us Imperial Commando you cowards - none of this Battlefront II fakeout crap Yeah, they didn't even try with that one lol. Before the game even came out every person in existence was predicting you would defect to the rebels and what do you know. Iden stops being a true believer literally in Mission 1 lol. They could not get past Mission god drat 1 before she's openly criticizing Imperial actions and setting up the obvious defection. She's a true believer in the prologue and then that's it. Although honestly, I shouldn't nitpick that part too bad because really the whole plot in the that game just varies "stupid" and "forgettable". It's a bad story. There isn't even that much heavy plot in Fallen Order but it's still 10x better.

Could probably commission someone with a 3D Printer and buy the electrical components from whatever sites handle the dueling saber scene (Ultrasabers? Saberforge?) Disney could make a drat fine mint if they included all the options from Fallen Order at Galaxy's Edge, which would truly help make each saber more unique

I found dodging, particularly quick dodge, particularly once you've gotten that dodge-specific upgrade, to be better than parrying, with some exceptions.

I'm playing normal about two planets in (just had the first real fight with Second Sister) and I'm finding the combat fairly fair so far, aside from some occasional bullshit like monster enemies being able to instantly rotate 180* directly into a fast attack chain. The fact that everyone telegraphs by literally lighting up with a red glow helps a lot, although the hit range on some stuff is admittedly quite suspect.

Looks like modders are starting the get a little more familiar with the game -- now there's skins for Inquisitor Cal and Jedi Cal. The latter apparently just blows up the kid-Cal model up to adult size and plops adult Cal's head on top, which gives him kind of a weird giraffe neck but it's a good start! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pRO4GGzPg0

Also the Savi's Workshop sabers you built are cheap pieces of poo poo. lol
