I played Hollow Knight for a minute and got bored almost immediately.

Meanwhile I have 90+ hours logged on Slay The Spire in the last month. Idk wtf

Adam Sandler is undiscoursable. You're legally not allowed to have a serious conversation about him. He called the poo poo poop.

Hollow Knight is so much better than Shovel Knight, which is insane since Shovel Knight is also extremely awesome.

Your favourite film is Punch Drunk Love? Cool choice.

There are many of these. Limbo and Braid are both games from a similarly era where indie games "broke through" and I love their look and feel and yet I just completely bounced off them both.

Have fun!
I'm doing a deep dive relisten of all of Rush's studio and live albums.

My God, the talent these three had together, the way they changed their sound over the years, the fact that it never felt like they were putting an album out due to contractual obligations or just for the money...and the nostalgia. That's what's hitting me the most - driving around in the early/mid 90's delivering pizza and bouncing back and forth between grunge and Rush.

Growing up loving sucks.

The only game I know of that increases complexity through menu esoterism. The moment I fumbled through the mechanics to get from a subsistence scavenger community to an agrarian fiefdom was a wild experience.

Now it’s all 3D and hard to follow.

I really wanna finish Disco Elysium but playing that game is like slamming my face into a wall.
I have really bad problem solving skills and conflict aversion so severe it leaks into my game playing. I am uniquely unsuited to playing that game.

Disco Elysium’s ending blew me away. Like, went from a game that I enjoyed the hell out of to an honest-to-god transcendent experience.

Yes. Very sorry. Going into the game I thought I could handle being a roughneck. High Physical (whatever the one that lets me punch people is), heavy authority (the idea was to be a socialist skullknocker buuuuut somehow Authority = Authoritarian just went whoosh). But when it came time to put the rubber to the road I inevitably put too much of myself into him. As I always do with this poo poo.

Like, you need me to kill a dragon, I'll kill a goddamn dragon. You need me to Display dominance over a bunch of dockworker heavies and their lawyer? Oops. Too real guys. Too real.

i occasionally have issues doing stuff like that but i don't think you ever really are forced to. Maybe if your character is only able to do violence. you could try starting over, knowing that you can't be that guy this time. it's not a bad game to do-over

Cavauro

there's a comedian on terrace house and the only bit he is shown rehearsing or workshopping is "let me tell you about japanese salarymans... why don't they kill themselves?" and then he listens back to it on tape and that's the end.

I leveled other things over time but yeah I think nice guy/sorry cop is the only thing I can do.

well the important thing is this comedian who sucks so bad is actually really good. he just keeps saying nothing funny but does say gently caress, rear end, poo poo, fuckin, poo poo in his second language.

there's always another way in life. but some times you just pass right over it, or don't know it's there at all. sometimes it feels like you're completely stuck and have to do something that you can't bring yourself to do. and maybe during that moment you really are psyching yourself out and you can do it. but sometimes you're just right and you've gotta figure out something else to do with your life, even if it means a greater struggle.

i think he might be speaking in his native language but just extremely casually and without care for enunciation. i'm sorry about calling it (english) his second language just because he is on a japanese show. that was short-sighted

Am I going to purchase Slay The Spire while it’s on sale on Steam even though I already have it for the Switch just to access the new character and updates a few months earlier?

These are the questions that define our times.

I watched the netflix doom and it wasn't bad. I would have been pissed if I saw it in the theater tho. They managed to put a little bit of adventure in the "you gotta shoot your way through HELL" videogame, not bad. None of the "marines" acted a bit like marines tho, that was kinda weird. But it kinda fits with how slapdash the whole military affair bit of the plot went. These marines got rolled before a shot went off. And then when the shooting started, they all ran away from each other instead of together. Like I said, not bad.

I bought it and quickly beat an Ironclad run. Jfc the base game is really straightforward when you know what you’re doing.
