Hindsight is 20/20 but I felt like he's been exhibiting Parkinson's symptoms since The Osbournes TV show. I guess at the time I always attributed the shakey hands and slurred speech to the long term alcohol abuse, but looking back it could've just been early symptoms of the disease.

Either way this blows a big one. Time is cruel.

What the gently caress was Clutch doing in the 90s :psyduck:
It’s my favorite Clutch decade my a mile but maybe because that’s when I discovered them in high school and was sure there was something really deep and important in their lyrics.

No man, Blast Tyrant is fuckin good and Beale Street to Oblivion was mostly good. Robot Hive:Exodus is fun too. The rest I could do without. They’re nothing like the Clutch-Elephant Riders-Jam Room years but JP’s drumming really got solid in the 2000s.

And early 90s thrash Clutch is just boring aimless yelling.

There is no arguing with the music that grabbed you during those years and stuck. Case in point, I was walking to my office today and a 40 something dude pulled up and his windows were buzzing from playing When I Come Around so loud.

It's mellower than Crowbar. Less sludgy, leaning more towards just doom. Also there's a cover of Aqualung.

Just discovered Buffalo Bud Buster. I guess Deano the bassist is a good tattoo artist in Calgary but perhaps better known for being a stoner rock superfan. Anyhow, they sound a lot like the nasty sludgy southern metal I used to be into, like Dixie Witch, Supplecs, Syrup, etc.

gently caress, that got me back down into a southern metal hole.

I've been going through some Spotify playlist of Doom Chart's best of 2019 albums and drat, there's some good poo poo in here. Got me to look into some bands I hadn't tried yet past those albums too.

Some notable fuzzy albums I liked:
Green Lung - Woodland Rites
Lord Dying - Mysterium Tremendum
Druids - Monument
Year of the Cobra - Ash and Dust
Helms Alee - Noctiluca

That was rad, I enjoyed the video work along with the song. Thanks for sharing. Also, they had a 'The Colour Out of Space' song that was up next that I had to give a listen, especially after seeing the Richard Stanley movie last week.

I hadn't really heard SDS used much before this forum, in my head it used to be an abbreviation for a band called Shaolin Death Squad; they're metal, but not S/D/S.

Hello, s/d/s thread! I've spent roughly half of last year working on a doom/drone project and now it is finally finished. I've got a single cut out with the rest of a full length album to follow at some point. Thought some of you might appreciate this.
