I bought the game in large part because of LGBT stuff, but I've concluded that of the five f/f romance options... two are evil and both are locked to one particular route (half being the same route between them, no less), one's boring and has a terrible VA, one's an incorporeal loli, and one is merely okay.

In fact, every support they have apparently goes to A, so Balthus has an ending with Claude and etc.

My thoughts on the DLC:
-Heck yeah it's being released in february
-Hapi and Yuri are both very cute. Constance I'm neutral on, and Balthus looks kinda silly. Living in a cave is no reason to replace your shirt with a giant chain, friend.
-It'll never happen, but because Yuri looks so androgynous I'm really hoping that they'll be nonbinary, because that representation is so dang rare.
-ahahaha the datamine'd classes were right, can't wait to put Lysithea on a pegasus and destroy everything ever

Also, re: smash - FE3H was easily one of my top games in 2019 and I love the way Byleth's moveset looks. I haven't bought any of the smash DLC because I don't really care about most of the DLC characters, but I'm definitely gonna grab Byleth.

i really want to know if the students will ever be accessible in a regular run, like after you do the special episode they'll just be inserted in like regular students for runs you start after that. I have a run that I started immediately after finishing my first run but i set it aside until after the DLC came out but if I have to start another new run to get them that will be... mildly annoying i guess? or i could finish this second run before the DLC comes out and start my third run with potential new characters/things

yeah i'd be fine with them becoming available to recruit in the main game for people who are interested. i think when jeritza was released, he got dropped into black eagles runs that were already in progress.

i don't think i would use them on my next playthrough, just because i want to get the full golden deer experience. i think it would be weird to have wolves missions during part 1, even if you've already beaten the game.

I recommend circling all the way around to the left. You really don�t want to engage both houses in quick succession.

Also, I would recommend not bringing a healer or mage. Every unit should be able to take a hit and do decent damage.

An archer with curved shot is very helpful for avoiding damage.

The ashen wolves story is a side story selected from the title screen. You select difficulty, Byleth gender, and classic/casual mode for it separately, and ostensibly once you beat it they'd be unlocked to recruit in the main game. That explains why the trailer had Hilda and Edelgard on the same team, which is otherwise impossible.

I immediately stormed the hill on maddening to remove the ballista. group up before the bridge so you can stride everyone forward, then use stride again at the foot of the hill so you can get up the steps quickly

lotta people will aggro but most will be distracted with each other for a turn
