Knife simulation, there. But seriously, I'd watch a movie if the hero just continuously produced a spray of 20ish high-velocity blades per second (h-vbps)

This came up with a completely unrelated input to talktotransformerquote:Italian luxury car maker Maserati launched a $186,000 advertisement in Israeli newspapers posing as a candidate of a popular, anti-Israel political party. In the scene of a European vultures feeding on Palestinian bodies, one mule dressed as Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas snorts cocaine. What the gently caress?

https://twitter.com/dril_gpt2/status/1215834913888460800 OK...this was the one that broke me, although I'm willing to be convinced otherwise. Can a bot even write something like this? The separation between the setup and punchline just seems beyond what I'd expect from an algorithm.

I'd be interested to see what GPT2 could do if it was seeded from a comedy account that is coherent 100% of the time instead of dril.

I'm pretty sure that pretty much all bots like these are handed extremely cherry-picked results from a whole bunch of generated texts. Even a markov chain -type generator can occasionally get the punchline right by pure chance, but with GPT it'll be way, way more likely.

That's fair, I guess I'm underestimating the amount of help it's getting. Even so, it's had some impressively canny jokes that sure don't feel generated.
