It’s strange, that model didn’t even start out having direct wifi connectivity, it was mesh networked to other sonos devices and then one of those would act as a wifi connected hub. Like even if it’s end of life for some horrible vulnerability baked into the hardware, surely it could be downgraded to the original functionality at the very least?

Unfortunately, despite years of evidence of how untrustworthy eyewitness evidence is, especially after you've been coached into a story by the police and prosecutors, most people probably still treat it like God's word. At least the Mandela effect people could get a hung jury by suggesting reality changed on everyone.

Brain Curry posted:Im enjoying the conspiracy theorists pointing out China has a bsl-4 facility in Wuhan. I was curious about how that do, bsl-4 is basically ebola and other death viruses, and stuff that is unknown or has no cure. Interesting tidbit: "Sample-return missions that bring back to Earth samples obtained from a Category V body must be curated at facilities rated BSL-4. Because the existing BSL-4 facilities in the world do not have the complex requirements to ensure the preservation and protection of Earth and the sample simultaneously, there are currently at least two proposals to build a BSL-4 facility dedicated to curation of restricted (potentially biohazard) extraterrestrial materials" So uhh, that doesn't sound like the beginning of a biopunk dystopia type scenario, right? Right?

Coronaviruses are handled in BSL3 labs if they're the pathogenic variety. Besides, we already have recent instances of coronaviruses jumping into humans in Asia, so I don't think the conspiracy theories make much sense. Evolution: the ultimate bioweapons program.
