Are there many reptile->mammal cross infections? I know turtles carry salmonella, but that's usually present on their skin, not a respiratory bug

I've seen claims that it's more than that, with a few photos that appear to be concrete barriers spanning highways with bio-suited guards. But, as mentioned above, it's very hard to parse what is or isn't complete BS right now.
