I think I really should log off. I read the second book of Southern Reach recently and couldn't help but see the protagonist as Mayo Pete, the whitest of libs. CIA, got his job through nepotism, thinks about his CV all the time, the main question he has when looking at a college is if they are moving up in their career and spends most of the novel in a losing office politics decorum fight. More importantly, I doubt that they would be this blatant if they had no intention of using it to ratfuck if not Sanders, at least the progressive wing of the party.
