You can probably find good mexican food in any decently sized population center of any state with a number higher than 5 on the electoral college map.

Good Mexican food isn't found in the luxury area of a major metropolitan area. Good Mexican food is the food you find when you're tried, exhausted, and/or drunk and just trying to get some protein in your belly. Good Mexican food is when everywhere is closed because it is 1030 PM on a Sunday and everywhere is closed but you drove down the street and saw abuelita cooking asada in the driveway selling it for $2 a taco. Good Mexican food is when you blacked out the night before in Redding and the only reason you know you had Good Mexican food is that you woke up at 11 AM with meat sweats and bubble guts. Good Mexican food can not be found in Omaha, Nebraska.

at the same time, the mexican food I truly remember is the awful poo poo I get in random places. tiny little taco cart on Nantucket Island? disgraceful. Mexican/Thai fusion in Phuket? one of the worst things I've ever eaten in my life. An attempt at Mexican food from a restaurant in Valdivia, Chile? truly foul compared to that I hardly even remember all the delicious burritos from legit taquerias ive had

I mean he effectively was, but he was actually competitively hired as the head coach after Harbaugh left. That's what made that season even funnier, iirc he beat out Vic Fangio for the job because Fangio didn't want Tomsula as his OC but for some reason Baalke and York absolutely needed to keep Jim "Ron Jeremy" Tomsula around.
