You'd only do that if the cases are building up so fast that you need to do so.

I should just have used air quotes for the whole thing.

if they do that it’s all smoke and mirrors.

no new cases because we don’t have test kits!

Progress!

Less then the number of new cases yesterday.

Is this because the spread is slowing, or are the health services simply struggling to keep up with the numbers?

Given that they are updating again at 3pm, might be the later.

Yesterday could have been a case of increased reporting, i.e. they are finally getting the people who are sick to come in

Lol classic psychology. Report smaller numbers more often instead of larger numbers once a day.

If they had a handle on it, why would they add the afternoon update?

They were two hours late yesterday. Probably were going to be even later today.

Australians told to reconsider travel to whole of China
Australia has upgraded its travel advice to reconsider all travel to China – and will be providing “assisted departures” to elderly and young Australians in Wuhan and Hubei province.

Prime minister Scott Morrison has described the coronavirus as “a serious and evolving situation” in a press conference in Canberra.

“The travel advice has been upgraded to reconsider all travel to China – the entire nation,” he says.

“We have taken a decision this morning to prepare a plan for an operation to provide some assisted departures for isolated and vulnerable Australians in Wuhan and the Hubei province.”

The evacuated Australians will then be quarantined in Christmas Island for up to 14 days.

But that is not for certain, and dependant on the medical advice.

“We cannot give a guarantee that this operation is able to succeed,” he says. “And I also want to stress very clearly that we may not be in a position if we’re able to do this on one occasion to do it on another occasion.”

two things about this

1) Australia is telling its citizens "now or never to get out"
2) a select few Australians will get to experience the joys of living in detention on Christmas Island, which would feel like poetic justice if not for the whole plague thing

If that’s the pilot I’d loving off my self if I needed to spend like 12 hours in one of those suits.

The most I’ve done is 2 and that was more than enough.

Is it much different than an abatement tyvec suit? I used to do asbestos testing and those things were loving miserable when I had to wear em.

It doesn’t look like one of the newer ones that are supposed to “breathe” better but it’s hard to say.

Its probably very close to what you wore and yeah it’s miserable.
