They used to have weekly kabaddi coverage on UK TV. It's interesting to watch, but I feel it really is a sport you have to grow up with to enjoy. If you want to watch some real poo poo going down, though, watch shinty. It's a bit like field hockey, but more violent. As in, you're allowed to tackle with your stick but it's a breach of the rules to block someone's stick with your body. There was a match once where someone got red carded for practically breaking his stick over an opponent's head and the only response from the commentators was "Aye, his play has always been a wee bit robust".
