Not allowing witnesses is the worst thing they have to do. All it does is ingratiate them with Trump personally, who will never give a poo poo about them for any reason, and it looks *really* loving bad. This is basically the best outcome for impeachment as a whole, make them all tie themselves as personally as possible to Trump in complete defiance of even pretending to be reasonable

I mean we always knew that this was going to be a farce of a trial, so them just being so blatant about it is really the best outcome. Then again I still give it 50/50 odds that we get witnesses and this poo poo-show gets drug out another month. If it comes down to 50 vs 50 with Robert's being the deciding vote, I don't even know which would be my preferred outcome. But one thing is for sure, none of them are good for the GOP.
