He was horrifically abusive, and among other things once poured bleach into a tenant's water supply to try and force them to move out, knowingly allowed huge vermin infestations (then tried to evict tenants in neighboring apartments for "allowing" the infestation in his vacant, rundown apartments), and accepted sexual favors in exchange for rent credit (I know this because he told me to my face that he did it) He did this while in his 60s and 70s until he died of pneumonia. Motherfucker spent almost all of his free time at the courthouse filing paperwork for evictions instead of doing anything else at all; he could have easily sold all but one of his properties, lived in that one, and used the money to do whatever he wanted for the rest of his life. Instead, he made himself absolutely miserable just so he could gently caress over people at absolute rock bottom, and then he loving died So in conclusion: gently caress rich people, because they will never, ever be satisfied

If Bernie places a close second here it's obviously not as ideal as winning but it's not a death knell either. Remember that Iowa has a tiny percentage of the pledged delegates needed to win the nomination. It matters for narrative and momentum but is obviously not do-or-die for Bernie considering his volunteer base and his fundraising strength. Campaigns die because they run out of money/momentum. Even a close second in IA probably wouldn't stop Bernie from a commanding NH win. All that said, we're still calling Iowa today and that includes crucial GOTV calls from about 6:45-8:00 p.m. EST to make sure people have gotten to their caucus sites on time. Anyone reading this thread needs to contribute to that effort.
