Declaring himself victor WAS the ratfucking. The benefit of trying to control that early narrative is MASSIVELY outweighed by the negative optics of the situation though. Butterbar's critics hammer him on being a weaselly inexperienced little dork, and Sanders narrative for literal YEARS at this point is that weaselly candidates and the DNC are trying to screw him. This is a huge injection to BOTH narratives, Petey looks like a goddamn full-on company spook and Sanders can motivate his supporters even more ("see I told you they're trying to gently caress us, volunteer and donate today!") all while peeling voters away from candidates like Biden, Yang, Klob, etc who've proven they don't have a chance in hell at the prize. With the democrats being pathologically liberal to the point of being okay-ish with this sort of shambling mess, how the gently caress they are going to last more than ten years forward if their base is increasingly more militant leftward and with younger people being more and more sympathetic to socialist ideas?

They have no need to fix the economic problems that the younger generations of Americans face because they benefit monetarily from the special interests that cause the problems. If they saddle the youth with more economic problems we will have no time to even consider voting because we have to take a second job to avoid being late on rent and medical bills.

None of the connections were initially out in the open though, we didn't get any information on who made the app until unnamed sources started telling people about it literally during this poo poo storm. Without that information it could be spun as CIA pete "just" jumping the gun on things. Pete more than anything NEEDS a iowa win and he's got nowhere higher to go in Indiana politics.

As this program will roll out in Nevada, I can speak from what I know we’ll be doing here: it’s a ranked choice thing. You are required to list your preferences of at least three candidates and, I think, up to five.

Getting ballots of each caucuser shouldn’t be all that hard.

There's a difference between "having political preferences" and "being tied to a campaign through financial and marriage ties."

2016 was handled by Microsoft. Then they decided to drop Microsoft and go with a company of former Hillary campaign staff that never developed something like this and work out of a wework office, being funded by campaigns and invested in by former campaign staffers.

I'm glad you saw my message. Here are my responses.

-It's not the physical size of the US that is the main problem (though it is part of it). Its the different media markets. The country is divided into many different media markets and the campaigns must pay to advertise in each of them, when they are trying to win a nomination / election. Some markets are more expensive than others. Usually this is proportional to how many people live within a market (as far as I can tell). Having the candidates compete in small media markets at the start. like Iowa and New Hampshire, allows for cash-poor candidates to have a shot of attracting attention. Most candidates haven't even bothered to put up an ad in 85% of the country at this point, and that's a good thing.

-Taking a year or so to go across the whole country might be good enough, but the details as to how this would work would be crucial.

-I thought you were talking about Senior Party Members, previously. If you are just talking about citizens voting in the nomination process, then it depends on what state you are talking about. Some States only allow citizens that are registered within the party to vote in the nomination, while others let everyone vote.

joepinetree posted:

Yeah. The campaign that killed the last poll that had him third also has extensive ties to the app developer that hosed up the results this badly, and then, to compound the issue, it is the same campaign that comes out and flat out declares victory.

So:

1- If this had happened in any other country, or if this had happened in the republican primaries, everyone would have been absolutely certain that wrongdoing was involved.

2- More importantly, let's think of the counterfactual here. Let's say it wasn't Buttigieg's campaign doing this, but one of the outsider ones. If Bernie, or Yang, or Tulsi had ties to the app maker, had killed a poll, and had declared victory. Would the media have passively accepted it as they have with Buttigieg? Would Perez or the DNC be going just "oops?"

It doesn't matter if this was done intentionally or just incompetence. It doesn't matter if vote totals have been changed or not. It doesn't matter if this just means a delay in getting the vote totals out instead. There was a campaign that had ties to the vote compiling app and we didn't know about it until this massive gently caress up. The fact that the Buttigieg campaign isn't under intense scrutiny by the party given all of this IS the rigging. They may not change a single vote, but the fact that he doesn't pay any price is per se evidence of the rigging.

Also, let's all thank Obama for going out of his way to make sure Perez was the DNC chair.

Heres part of it

Little Pete announced he won the election because an app was going to say so any minute.

Petey fan Tara McGowan runs a company called "ACRONYM"

https://mobile.twitter.com/taraemcg/status/1088071074468642818
https://www.anotheracronym.org/

"ACRONYM" hires "Shadow Inc" to make a new vote counting software that is not to be seen or tested until its already live.

https://shadowinc.io/about/
https://techcrunch.com/2020/02/03/iowa-caucus-app-failed/

Petey helped pay for the app that was going to count his votes.

https://mobile.twitter.com/lhfang/status/1224561674679488513
"The firm was paid by both Nevada & Iowa Democratic Party, disclosures show. Also by Mayor Pete's campaign."
"Nevada Dem federal account paid Shadow $58k in August, Iowa Dems state account paid Shadow $63,183 in two payments over Nov & Dec, suggesting app wasn't developed until just months ago? Both caucus states. Shadow is a spin-off from PACRONYM, a new Dem dark money/superPAC hybrid. "
"There's no evidence Robby Mook was involved in the development of this app. David Plouffe, however, is on the board of PACRONYM and has been on cable news talking about the Iowa caucus all evening. Worth a question for him. "

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/iowa-caucus-app-shadow_n_5e390191c5b687dacc722824
"State campaign finance records indicate the Iowa Democratic Party paid Shadow, a tech company that joined with ACRONYM last year, more than $60,000 for “website development” over two installments in November and December of last year. A Democratic source with knowledge of the process said those payments were for the app that caucus site leaders were supposed to use to upload the results at their locales.

Gerard Niemira, a veteran of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, is the head of Shadow. He previously served as chief technology officer and chief operating officer of ACRONYM, according to his LinkedIn page. In 2019, David Plouffe, one of the chief architects of President Barack Obama’s wins, joined the board of advisers for ACRONYM. "

Peteys campaign has a direct family tie to the scammers in "Shadow Inc" who wrote the app

https://mobile.twitter.com/PeteButtigieg/status/1224566143043674112
"It's weird that you're posting things like this when the results aren't in yet, but whatever. Anyway, unrelated, do you have any comment on your campaign reportedly paying the firm that developed the app that caused the results to not be available yet?"
"A little more context that might help you out, the firm that developed the app was formed the same month you announced your exploratory committee by a company whose CEO is married to one of your senior staff, Michael Halle. So I dunno maybe you could ask him about it, too."

.
.
.

Then theres the various Pete->Zuck->CIA->Intelligence->McKinsey stuff to tie it all off in a giant hosed up dystopian mess.

Or as Queen Maryanne said:

Basically what went down was the app that was supposed to be be used during the IA and NV caucuses broke when people tried to send their precinct results. The backup solution the DNC were counting on also failed and a large number of calls to the Iowa Democrat headquarters caused the people reporting the results to be put on hold for hours. During that time every candidate sent out messages like "Keep moving forward" except for Mayor Pete who proclaimed he has numbers that say he won the caucus. Bernie released numbers of his own to counter that narrative.

It then turns out the company that IA and NV contracted the app out to is run by someone that has marital ties to a high level Buttigeig staffer. That company's name is(I poo poo you not) Shadow, and it turns out the app wasn't even tested. Every campaign is angry about how much of a shitshow this whole process is and they are forcing people to hand count the results so they will have an anwser by the end of today hopefully.
