Didn’t Bernie give what was basically an “I won” speech too?

he said he was 'feeling good' about the results and then his campaign put out partial results which put him moderately ahead - this is within the bounds of what is reasonable. had buttigieg said something like 'it looks like we've done very well' that would be one thing, but outright claiming victory is some dodgy poo poo because it primes everyone to expect something which may not be (and indeed, probably is not according to what evidence we do have available) true.

there's a line between legitimate spin and disinformation - of course the campaign is going to try to claim the results as encouraging, and a results in the mid-to-high twenties in a very competitive field can be reasonably spun as doing well even if they somehow ended up third - but saying that you're first when there's nothing real to support that statement is crossing that line, because at that point you're not pushing an interpretation of the facts, you're pushing your own facts - which means that everyone else suddenly has to decide what to do about it, either call it ouy viciously or make up alternative facts

using the confusion of a major procedural breakdown (which, again, is a big scandal even under the best reasonably imaginable circumstances) to try to push a distortion of the facts is really dodgy behaviour and absolutely needs to be called out in an aggressive way

There's nothing at all. Some of the candidates have released their internal polling of some of the precincts, but they're effectively just surveys of where they were strong enough to devote resources.

Also I had the flu like two weeks ago and got a 10K bill today (insurance will graciously cover 7000 of this because, lol sure I just have 2700 lying around). And rather than pay it I'm going to give Bernie a few bucks and go beg them to lower it.

Did you completely miss the point that no evidence will ever come out if we do things your way? Besides that, the idea that this is all just the gravest incompetence seen in decades is also supposition, and you could use the exact same "well how could this possibly have happened" arguments to argue against that possibility too.

So in other words, one ought to adopt the attitude that is most likely to lead to the truth coming out, and right now that attitude is that Cheaty Pete tried to steal the election. If he didn't then let him prove it.

I think the biggest reason most of us are pretty up in arms is because we know that the only logical way forward that will help curtail the crushing wealth inequality is if Bernie wins and because the DNC and MSM is going to fight him every step of the way we have to fight extra hard to make this happen. It is why so many people donated, so many people volunteered, and to a lesser extent why some of his supporters can be a bit abrasive. We all know what the stakes are. I for one am being crushed under a mountain of medical debt because I had the nerve to get sick in the greatest country on the planet. Of course this shouldn't happen and Bernie is the only candidate with anything substantive to do about it.

The other thing is this is really the beginning of a slow move leftward that is long overdue in this country and we really want that to happen. If we lose the nomination here it won't stop it but it will surely slow it.

I for one am not really getting my hopes up. We are up against an insane machine full of people that would rather trump win than give up one iota of power.
