Dude who plays piano with rescued cats again. https://youtu.be/Ra-ktFUYW_4 I’d argue that the cat doesn’t love music, just him. My, rescued from possible starvation, brown tabby must also be on me always if I am sitting. Although, she does not love it when I paint as I am often leaning forward, which makes the lap too small, or my lap is taken by whatever I’m painting on. This is where she is anytime I’m home and not doing anything. Almost all pictures taken of her are very close because of this.  She gets pretty adamant that “now is no time to paint,” sometimes. Lately, she been doing this thing where she waits until I put the brush down, lean back and put my hand on her while I’m staring at my painting. Then she headbutts me in the tit with all the force that she can muster. It’s difficult to be absent-minded while petting her when she does that.

I had one foundling that I was having trouble integrating into the household; she was standoffish and actively rejected anything resembling affection. Then one day I had the guitar out to practice a song, and realized halfway through that she was at my feet, staring hard and purring with everything she had. That happened every time I sang and played. As long as there was live music, I could pick her up and give her pets and she was happy. That was the way in. She was just a lil music cat.

Our old cat used to really enjoy hanging out in front of my dad's amp when he played guitar. The dog would also hang out, but she never cared about the music in any way.
