Shadow Songbearer has landed    She's incredibly confident and loves to explore. She basically follows the nearest person around and loves giving headbumps She seems a little overcautious about getting onto furniture which makes me think maybe her past owners discouraged it but she's welcome to go wherever she likes and claw up whatever she wants. She's only been at home for a few hours but the way she acts she could've been here for a year. I'm so happy to have her in my life!

Complete video game idiot here. I'm dying to try a new city builder-style game and, thanks to Colonel Failure binge-watching, it's down to Cities Skylines or Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. Anybody played either? In terms of hardware, the main issue would be I'd be running either on a laptop and, while most of the requirements are met, I think my video card is slightly below what's recommended according to WillItRun or whatever that site is. (I could also buy Cities Skylines for PS4, but would rather play with a mouse and keyboard.) Will either work with that slightly being subpar? I don't want to drop $30-40 on a maybe.

Anybody played either? they're pretty different games, cities skylines is more of a traditional simcity type city builder where you don't really have direct control over what's happening but you influence it with zoning and city services and poo poo. workers and resources is more of an economic sim like anno or settlers or something where you're more hands on with the economy of your town and designing supply chains and stuff. kinda depends on what you're looking for I guess

I haven't bought a game for PC since there was a Babbages in my mall (it's been N64->PS2/Wii->PS3->PS4 since) and it was a desktop where the specs weren't an issue, which is why I asked. I was originally drawn to Soviet because drat, those graphics are impressive, but it seems more involved. I just started watching the Colonel's Cities playthrough today and it's slightly more cartoonish, but still amazing in its own right. (I'd also watched his Transport Fever series but Cities bumped it down the list.)
