BREADS

One of the advantages of Australia having 13+ Migrant waves is that, as already discussed, you can find food from all over the world if you look in the right place. Australia also paradoxically has really nice growing conditions in certain areas for all sorts of thing, most notably wine.

I will never forgive Australians for having cherimoya country and squandering it on atemoya.

I think he's been analyzed as having a 4th grade reading level. Not illiterate, but has a simple and repetitive vocabulary combined with encroaching dementia that makes him garble his words or repeat himself over and over.

80s aesthetics slay, actually. The whole reason Stranger Things is so popular is because it's so good at mimicking that aesthetic.

I don't feel as if I've seen any period piece which really captures the 90s aesthetic.

Imo the best 90s time capsule is Beavis and Butthead, but only if it includes the music videos

I wish I could find it right now, but I used to have a link to the opening of the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland in 1995. There was some pretty awful celebrity fashion on display there.

A lot of those are very :magical: but I'm pretty sure the young celebrities of our time are going through the same thing right now

This reminds me why I had such a big crush on Anne Hathaway. Or maybe short dresses and jeans trigger some teenage memory of cute nerdy girls

That's because these actors/actresses usually don't have any say in what they wear to premieres. They're just clothes hangers for associated sponsors/partners.

People say that but it was really more like 2000 through 9/11 were like the 90s, 2002-2006 was this weird confused period, and then 2007-10 was when social media, streaming, and smartphones started to focus culture back again.

Yeah, I saw that picture and thought they all mostly looked fine, except Brad Pitt who clearly forgot he had something to do that day until the limo showed up.
