I knew I recognized that. An old "Moribundi" action figure from McFarlanes Tortured Souls series, which was a whole Hellraiser-esque series if figs.

And now McFarlane's doing a line of Warham figures (after it seems the Bandai license was a utter disaster).

Warhound dude's ahead of the curve.

drat, this could be a real game changer for Warhams. If the figs are produced in normal retail quantities, and at normal action figure prices, these could be insane sellers for Warham fans. Giant (compared to the minis) figs with great detail, for cheaper prices than the minis. And they're making them in unpainted versions as well, migh be a painters paradise.

McFarlane pretty much single-handedly reinvigorated the entire action figure industry in the 90's, with their insane detail, amazing sculpts, and low prices. If they put even half as much effort into Warhams, could be amazing.

Well this is the promo image they released.

Paint-aps look a little flat, but could be due to pre-production or GW's legendarily bad product phots.

I don't mind flat colors on space marines. It just reminds me of afternoons at the LGS before it closed for being awful.

So what’re the gory details about the Bandai attempt?

Yeah, I hadn't heard of any problems, just that there was a limited supply.

I would also still appreciate some danger.

I've never seen one in the wild and they were prohibitively priced and pre-painted. If there's more to that, I'd love to know, but I assumed that was enough to make them crater.

Because GW don’t want someone else making warhammer model kits, that’s not a hard idea to follow right?

Also I think people are probably a bit silly about the Bandai partnership. We don’t know the details so people saying it was bad are questionable. The limited run figure sold out and they’re doing the Chibi blind bags, probably just wasn’t exclusive.

6 inch space marine figures don't seem like they would be much of a conflict in scope.
