vet said there was no reason to prevent contact between them, so we've been gradually letting them see each other and today graduated to leaving the door open permanently. I put the food bowls near the door on opposite sides to eliminate the no man's land that had built up around said door and while they aren't eating together yet they both do eat at some point. by the end of the day penny was starting to explore the apartment although she still stays underneath things whenever possible and flees back into the room at loud noises. most of the hissing and growling is actually coming from sadie who I guess is madder that someone is invading her space than penny is at suddenly being put in a space that already has a cat penny, dreading getting poked at by the vet:  sadie, realizing there is no longer any barrier between her and The Other (door is immediately to the right)

Hi thread, I have cats! Them names Shelley and Horace, she's 9 and he's 14. He is a sweet old man, and she is a massive diva who gets pissy if I pay more attention to Horace than to her...    Shelley definitely like buttscritchy  A queen on her throne  A handsome old boy  A diva being annoyed by her fans  The first few hours...

Sadie had her vet visit today and they were able to easily give her the rabies shot because she left her entire rear end sticking out of her "hiding" spot.
