Control that existential anxiety with a 8 hour long bad movie about boba Fett armor, it’s surprisingly better than the putrid JJ abrams feature film!

honestly it would take less time to come up with crime procedurals that arent pro police propaganda aimed at liberals i cant think of anything aside from the wire thats even acknowledged that obviously bad things like crime quotas even exist

That's the real secret to effective lib propaganda, you need to pat the audience on the head for knowing "it's just a show". MizPiz has issued a correction as of 07:42 on Mar 4, 2020 |

torrenting was always more of a hassle than it was worth imo - between having to make sure that the file wasn't in a format that your tv couldn't play, having to make sure there wasn't some very obnoxious watermark superimposed on the video, having to make sure that the audio levels weren't sampled outside the range that human ears can process, having to make sure the video was really an HQ upload and not just some upsampled standard format garbage, fighting with the torrent tracker to make sure each new update didn't blow up your computer with spy or malware, etc. etc. like if you just ran a search for "batman" on kickass torrents and the downloaded and watched the first result without any quality control and you could be happy with that, then i guess torrenting was an acceptable alternative. but if you were at all concerned with finding a watchable copy of whatever you were searching for, it was always a pain in the rear end the only value i can still see for torrenting is for building a personal library of films / shows that haven't been reupped on a streaming service so that you can keep them in an offline database, but even that requires more effort than it's generally worth

I try to find legal alternatives first these days. Torrenting means putting up my VPN and dealing with all that and then throwing things on my Emby server. At this point I have more media than time anyway.

Is there a good free vpn that won't infect my computer with viruses?
|
# ? Mar 5, 2020 16:25 |

personally i had fun learning which IP holders were litigious and which were not via my ISP's response to me torrenting something. disney/pixar never flagged me for anything. my pet theory is they know all of their movies are the gateway drug into the associated merchandise and they don't miss a $24 dollar blu-ray sale when they know your kid is going to get you on the hook for hundreds of dollars in elsa merch after they see the movie fox (pre-disney purchase) would flag me immediately on movies and were hit-and-miss on their tv shows. same with dreamworks and a few other other studios. fox would actually re-flag me if a movie i downloaded was on my usb hard drive and it got plugged into a device that was on my home network (that was a fun one to troubleshoot) any movie or show that was originally produced as unique content for a streaming service (netflix or hbo go or whatever) would immediately flag me porn from any studio, mainstream or small time, would immediately flag me PC games and comic books and music never flagged me

I thought of the Ohs as North-Korea in a sense, it's even pretty directly referenced. But I also thought the worship of the Park family patriarch was reminiscent of certain people's worship of capitalists as much as North Korea's leadership cult. It could be both, in either case accomodating to your circumstances.
