I'm not clear on why articles keep trying to be reassuring by saying 80% of cases don't require hospitalization. WTF does 'require' mean? Like you're not going to be able to hospitalize 20% of 100,000,000 people, so....uh....

My wife just tried to go to an urgent care center in Reno for a slipped disc and was turned away before she could enter, by men in head to toe hazmat suits basically. The entire facility had been turned into a COVID treatment and containment center. They didn't use the word COVID or Coronavirus, men in masks just told her "We are only seeing people with respiratory infections" So, yeah, we got a firsthand look at how crazy the current situation is on the ground and we are only weeks away from it exploding out of control. This will be the collapse of the US healthcare system. Thats all

Truck Stop Stall posted:any coping tips for those of us who are yet to get it? do everything you can to avoid getting it. and if you do get it, maybe take some xanax. i've felt worse (although this is pretty bad) but the anxiety that it'll get critical really sucks. i'm resigning myself to being intubated at this point. and i'm one of the lucky ones, i got it early enough that there might be a bed for me.
