a glitch posted:Jesus gently caress is this normal? I've never had a cat who needed a urine sample and it sounds kind of extreme Yup. They did it to my fatboi when we brought him for "inappropriate urination" (pissed on my leg while I myself was taking a piss). We learned he had urine crystals, but they just jammed a bugass needle into him and pulled it directly from the source. He didn't even really bitch that much. Edit: Eww page snipe. On topic: most school districts in my area decided to start Spring break early, then go to online education. And people still came into my store today, casually buying shoes and not covering their mouths while coughing. I also found a very expressioniatic booger-finger painting on one of the mirrors in the kid's dept. I left it for the other other manager to deal with. The small college I attend closed the campus today and is working on getting remote classes up and running for after Spring break. All of the student workers who rely on their campus jobs for income have been really worried they won't be able to get by, but thankfully the school is planning to continue paying them their regular hours for now even if there's no work available. My friends in the service industry/hospitality are not so lucky. A bunch of people I know have been laid off and are freaking out. I'd say hey maybe they'll put a hold on mortgage payments (lol probably not) for a while if it keeps going at this rate , but that really only benefits people who are wealthy enough to own property and still leaves renters up poo poo creek.

A co-worker of mine is flying to Hawaii (I'm on the West Coast) just 'cuz. He'll be back next week and his desk is next to another co-worker who cares for an elderly relative at home. Is there a way to forcibly quarantine someone without incurring a kidnapping charge? Asking for a friend

It looks pretty brutal but you can't exactly ask animals to pee in a cup. 21st Cherry boy posted:Yeah they've done it to two of my cats, one of them the vet said was almost too chubby to get to his bladder haha. Huh, I had no idea. Guess I shouldn't find it surprising since you can't get cats (or any animals) to piss on demand (like Mooey Cow said) but I'm still somewhat suprised.

Like at this point we are firmly in the "no response" camp with the UK.

Just kidding, the employees/kids' relatives are having ~mysterious respiratory issues + fever~ but the health system literally will not test them because they were not in contact with anyone confirmed+ for COVID-19. In other words, you can't be tested for COVID-19 unless you've been in contact with someone who's tested positive for it. But if they don't test anyone, then nobody tests positive. Catch-22!

Every day they throw up some new paid example of some guy that got infected (get the cure from China you racist loving rear end in a top hat) as if to say “we didn’t engineer this poo poo one of our guys got it” like we’re all so loving stupid we’re gonna buy this bullshit. Nobody actually has this poo poo, and if they do they are literally injecting themselves with it and preventing anyone curing them with force. You watch they will literally respond to this with some news story tomorrow about how some dumbshit regular rear end backwoods yokel caught this poo poo from sticking his dick in a vending machine or something. People try to shut down this country over this poo poo and they’re gonna get hosed up. They’re virus is done, their done, this is our country and you’re not gonna tell us what we can do or restrict the flow of commerce or social gatherings, we will kick your loving asses. whatever you're on, it's not the cure

Left work early to get some groceries and the run has finally begun in downtown Toronto. Huge crowds, some of the aisles completely bare of readymade food, soups, toilet paper. Funnily enough, people haven't cottoned on that Shopper's Drugmart also carries an admittedly smaller selection of similar foodstuffs because that was pretty much empty and it was fully stocked. TP all gone tho.

Our supermarket chain here in New England has probably one of the best trucking infrastructures in terms of replenish and everything is loving clearing. Checkout down every aisle. My local Whole Foods wasn't as bad, but still lines at every checkout and carts full of poo poo. I noticed the Aldi had a pretty light parking lot.

King Soopers (Kroger) was packed with panicking boomers and looked like it'd been hit by a tornado. No staples, medicine, or TP. Meanwhile the Safeway not even two miles away on the same street was slightly busy, everything available. 5 lanes open and I was third in line.
