barleywine is cool for like 1.5 months in late fall. 40th anniversary sierra is sorry as hell compared to the 30th anniversary release. i was disappointed it was an ipa but i get why it was. probably going to drink all of the bottles of bourbon ive been hoarding for 4 years instead of going out any time soon.

Make some type of beer / wort / mash, distill it, mix with gelling agent. Likely they'll use cheaper grain, sugar beets or even plain sugar instead of malted barley.
