It won't, unless you buy it from the Australian eShop.

Your purchases are tied into the region you bought them from.

It's easy to change your region, but if you bought a version of the game from a different region's eShop that's the one it phones home to unlock.

In new leaf at least villagers would offer to move to a friend's village if they came to yours and spoke to them 7 days in a row or something like that. I assume that's what the black market is based on.

I avoided almost all information and trailers for this leading up to launch. Just finished playing through the intro before bed, and all I can think is it's just so pretty! There's so much more detail compared to what I remember of New Leaf, even just the animation for the wind rustling through the tree leaves had me stopping to watch for a bit. A bit sad that Isabelle has been nowhere to be seen at this very early stage, but she'll surely pop up soon right? :ohdear:
