D-LINK posted:He's the undisputed greatest ever, but he's not a top 10 QB anymore. And he certainly isn't gonna finish top 5 as that poster thinks lol I didn't say he'd be the 4th-6th best QB in the league, but given the overall passing game talent he'll be playing with, I expect he'll wind up there stats wise. IDK if you've looked around the league but it's mostly poo poo QBs and weak teams. Mahomes is gonna dominate, Lamar will be up there, let's say Brees has another good year, Wilson is great, presume Watson somehow maintains good stats despite the current Bill O'Briening of the Texans... what other team has the QB + receiver combination to put up better stats than the Bucs this year? Maybe Dak? Maybe Kyler puts up a great sophomore year? If all the maybes happen, sure, Brady winds up outside the top 6. In a realistic situation where everything doesn't go right for everyone else, he's throwing to so much talent that he's probably going to wind up ranked up there. I also think you're dramatically underrating the impact the terrible play around him had on Brady last year. When he had anything at all to work with, he looked like an OK QB. When everyone around him was injured or UDFA-tier, he looked like poo poo, but what immobile QB doesn't in that situation? Yes, half the plays he wasn't throwing catchable balls, because half the plays he was literally throwing the ball away after 2 seconds because his blind side was basically unblocked and a bunch of injured and/or lovely receivers couldn't get open or even face the right direction. He threw a good number of uncatchable balls to guys that were open, but he's been doing that for years. He'll be a bit worse again this year, but it's not likely enough to stop him putting up very good stats.

It's kind of funny too that Vrabel seems to be doing all right, but he came out of New England as a player and not a member of the coaching staff. What I'm saying is the next big coaching prospect will be Jerod Mayo.

I know the Lions are horribly run but how could anyone look at Patricia's body of work and think that guy is the guy I want running my team, and then double down on it after hiring him and seeing how lovely he's done. I can't think of a more obvious looking failure hire than him in recent memory and that includes the guy who stood next to McVay
