My polling place was extremely ridiculous as their answer was to give you some squirts of hand sanitizer when you were done except all they had were these little travel sized bottles and even though I went at like noon they were almost out.

Our library referendum won, so I can't be too upset that they didn't postpone the vote.

Our construction bond expired this year and we were looking for an operating increase in the same amount. That way we were able to sell it as a "zero tax rate increase". I doubt we would have won if it was a straight tax hike.

He didn't even print up any new signs specifically for the committeeman race, as far as I've seen. They've all been the ones he's had from the previous aldermanic race. Shows how much he cares about that power grab lol

Just had a company meeting whet according to my owner he heard from a friend of friend of a senator Pritzker will shut the state down. And man my owner is freaking out so much about not being able to send parts to our customers and keep their production lines running.

Woke up at 6am yesterday morning when my mother in law called because she heard from a really reliable source that the US is being put on lockdown in 48 hours or less.... When my wife got off the phone, she asked me what I thought and all I could say was “my uncle also works nintendo”....she got kind of pissed at me for dismissing her mom like that.

They really do need to just shut down before Chicago becomes the next New York.

Like here's the loving thing with that rumor, California just put the entire state on lockdown. Most of the libraries are closed and the librarians are pissed that there are some still open. The restaurants and bars are all shut down. Schools are shut down. At this point it very much is a matter of when not if and we're all just guessing when.

I posted it not so much for the rumor but cause the rear end in a top hat owner of the company during our meeting cared more about not shutting down our customers and staying open and keeping people physical there if they do impose a state shut down. He was just freaking out about what our customers are going to think of us rather than his own employees health.
