That is one of the worst graphs I have ever seen. I'm not sure I could think of a more nonsensical way to analyze that data. The boring information we already know about how much time a team spent at low/mid/high win probability is drowning the data on how their playcalling changed across situations. If you graphed run% (vs pass%) for plays at a given win probability it'd be more readable, but because it's not normalized in any way you really can't compare a good team like the Ravens or Chiefs to a bad team like the Bengals.

my two pronged hate for joe buck is: he's stuck with aikman so he's not going to make that a good broadcast by himself, and 2) everyone seems to latch on to whatever thing he does and elevate it to some kind of artform, eg "letting the moment speak for itself" which is fine but don't make it out to be some kind of rembrandt stylistic choice.

Bucks call of garret Hartley's OT game winning kick, that sent the saints to the super bowl for the first time ever, was delivered with the emotional outpouring of a boardroom speech reciting the numbers from Bob's spreadsheet.

Hes gotten much better these days though.

Same reason all the highlights of Tyree’s helmet catch in Super Bowl XLII use the team radio broadcast, rather than the TV one. Compare Buck’s call of that to Diggs’ catch against the Saints and he’s gotten a lot better.

It's shrine maiden, not shrine maid!
I dislike Joe Buck because my stupid NFC East team has like 10 primetime games a year and Buck definitely isn't a fan of the Eagles. I've seen some of the most memorable moments in my team's history called by Buck with a flat tone and no urgency. e: he does a good job sometimes? For some reason I remember liking his call of the DJax walk off punt.

When you have Aikman sitting next to him...

Outside of that context I don't mind Joe Buck and find he's kind of turned a corner recently. He'd do much better with a color commentator who doesn't have mashed potato brains.
