 This is what I am wanting to see out of this, workers demanding better conditions, maybe even striking and unionizing. I’ve been telling people at the stores when I pick stuff up that they should use this crisis to unionize while their employers are at a disadvantage so that they can be in a far better position both now and in the future.

They could have just cut everyone a check immediately and then clawed it back as necessary with 2020 returns but instead the IRS will individually need to calculate the amount that each person should get and then send out the money, making this process take weeks if not months to execute Good job folks

For what it's worth, it's pretty hard to compare US totals to individual European countries when talking absolute numbers. It makes more sense to compare say Western Europe as a whole to US as a whole or large US states or regions to individual EU countries.
